Well... other than the crashing of our hard drive, resulting in
the loss of most all our pictures, we're doing just fine.
Ellie is great and busy as ever. She just wants to hold and
touch anything and everything that is in her reach... well,
okay... so maybe just anything in her line of sight. She's
a funny one. She's very excited to go and hang out with
Grandma and Grandpa Garner next week... and, of course, to
meet her Uncles Tank and Tex... and cousin Kiki!

The lean and reach.. this is what she does probaby
80% of the time she's being held.

Once she acquires her target, she must of course taste it.

Another favorite toy. She always finds the remote.
She's very good and pushing random buttons, and of
course leaving a nice coat of drool.

She was leaning for something on the table, but decided to
stop and smile at Daddy and the camera.

I love the squinty grins that we sometimes get because of
that flash. She LOVES her bouncer!

A cute dress for Sunday.

Playing with Dad... always a happy time!

She's a great mover on the floor.

Like I said, always fun with Dad.

"Big honkin' eyes", as Adam might say.

She's growing! She had a great Dr's appointment last week.
Ellie has jumped to the 90th percentile for height... crazy.
She's 67th for weight and 57th for head circumference.

Trying to figure out what Daddy's doing.

Then turning for a pose.

Games

We discovered a game Ellie loves... having things
thrown at her face. She would just sit there waiting for
Adam to do it again, and then crack up each time.
She's a funny girl.

4 Months!

Ellie is officially 4 months old as of today! It is hard to believe
that so much time has already passed since we brought our
crazy little girl home. We love her way too much!

She decided she would let me take some happy pictures
of her tonight to mark her 4 months. She's a cutie.

We've been helping her practice standing on her
own against the furniture. She does pretty well, but
doesn't keep her balance for too long without a little
support. We're proud of her strong legs!

Playing with toys and sitting in her chair.

She now prefers to feed herself whenever she gets a bottle.
She usually needs help getting it back into her mouth after
she pulls it out, which is often, but she's pretty good at it.

Taking a break.

Dimples!

And more dimples!

The Jumperoo

For the Grandparents:
This is just a quick video of Ellie playing in her
new jumper last week. She enjoys it, and I enjoy the
break for my arms every so often.

Adam is 24!

This week we got to celebrate Adam's 24th birthday! Only
one more year till he can rent a car!... Go adulthood!
Things are going well, and we are excited for 2009! Lots of
exciting things to come. Ellie is always are main excitement
now, and she never fails to deliver. She is learning and growing
so quickly and we just love having her.

Trying some new pajamas she got for Christmas.

Reaching for the toes... she actually just now started this one.

Looking cute in her pretty pink sweater she got
from Uncle Eph and Aunt Heather.

Practicing the crawling motions. She was really getting those
knees up and moving today. She's a wild one.

Then practicing turning. On Sunday, she amazed us
by turning completely over from her back to her tummy!
She hasn't tried to do it much since, but we were very
much impressed with her demonstration of strength!

Adam's Banana Nut Cake with homemade Butter Pecan Frosting...
soooo yummy. I love cake.

Blowing out the candles. Hope he made a good wish!

He made a "24" on the cake with his candles, but it's a
little hard to see.

Ellie relaxing with Daddy. She was so chill with him that
afternoon... especially since he was holding her right by
the nice warm heater.

This is why the swing gets limited use lately. She is
so wiggily and antsy that she just pushes herself down
off of it... she did this in a matter of seconds.

I sat her down leaning back a lot, and she just pulls herself
all the way forward to retrieve her dropped toy. I can't leave
her alone much lately.

Showing her pretty dress.

With Daddy.

Christmas and Such...

Life is good in the Roggia house. We had a wonderful
Christmas and have been enjoying our time together
while Adam isn't so busy with homework and all that
jazz. Ellie is great and keeps us smiling all the time!

Her Nike hats are still a little big for her, but she just
looked so cute in this picture to me!

Unfortunately, Ellie does have a pretty bad cold this weekend.
You can see her glossy and somewhat puffy eyes in this
picture. I got about 2 hours of sleep last night, spending all
my energy rocking her to sleep since it was the only way she
could really breathe... poor girl. I think she's a little better
tonight... she's in bed at least.

This is her new Jumperoo from her G-ma and G-pa Garner!
She is still a little small to reach the ground and truly enjoy it,
but she seems to like looking at all the bright toys on it.

This was her watching the toy get put together.

Christmas isn't Christmas without some nice kitchen gifts from
my momma. She's too good to us!

Adam gave my stocking a baking theme with these cute
little mini-bags of flour and stuff. I loved it!

Nascar is never forgotten at our Holiday events.

Ellie showing some gifts... a book and cute hoodie.

The adorable coat from her Grandma Garner...
we just pray she'll be big enough to wear it a little!

Our stockpile Christmas morning... we were very
blessed by many loved ones.

This picture didn't come out very well. But I had to thank
Adam for my offset spatula that I had been wanting sooooo
bad! (I'm a nerd, I know). I made this yummy Swedish Nut Cake
for Christmas Eve and loved how easy it was to frost with
my new favorite tool!

Ellie's cute sweater.... purple is a good color for her.

Playing with Daddy.

Adam decided to model Ellie's new hat for her.

Then she tried it too. Thanks Aunt Joy!

Sitting calmly with Santa. I wonder what she asked for.

We love how car rides often help her sleep...
especially if we let her listen to Miranda Lambert
who is her clear favorite.

She helped me do some laundry early in the week.

This is us relaxing at home after walking 3 miles
together at the indoor track while Adam was running.
Ellie seems to enjoy the ride.

We've been developing her climbing skills. She also sits pretty
well sometimes. She sat up on her own on my legs for almost
20 seconds this week. She's always been very strong.

Tummy Time.... she doesn't hate it anymore!

Looking cute.

All wrapped up after bath time.
