Faves

These are a few of her favorite things...

Candy... or pretty much most foods... as long as they're not
hot, or even warm.

Water... Ellie loves to play in the sink while we work in
the kitchen. She turns the water on herself and kicks
and plays... or shakes everything around like a monkey,
as you see above.

Such happy times.

Yogurt smoothies... she almost always has at least one a day.
Of course, we do have to duct tape the straw to avoid any problems.

Her Daddy.

Her Mommy AND Daddy.

And walking and climbing around. Ellie took her first real,
distinct steps today!!! She would stand up from the bottom
stair and take a step or two to get to me. But, being the maniac
that she is, she does this full force, without any real caution.
She's dangerous... but we're excited for her new skill!

Girl or Dog?

Ellie loves to play with her puppies. She also learns some
useful skills from them from time to time.

Like carrying things in your mouth so that you can
crawl around easier.

She is obviously very accomplished in that one.

I just thought she looked cute playing here.

She and Tucker are together all the time, sharing or
fighting over toys. She teases him or they play in water
bowls together and she just giggles and giggles.

She loves her puppy.

Although sometimes she just wants to wrestle and
pull on his tail, face, and ears.

But then she gets sweet again.

Hopefully one day she'll be like this with other human children.

And of course, we are all still amazed at how much Tank
has accepted Ellie from the beginning. He is always so
patient and gentle with her... and loves to give her big
slobbery kisses that either knock her over or make her laugh.

Looking cute and playing on the air vent... a favorite spot.

We also got to spend a day in DC last week with our
good friends, Ryan and Rachel. We loved seeing them
and Ellie thought they were pretty awesome.

She woke up happy and ready for the day ahead.

Beginning with the Air and Space Museum.

Then the Natural History Museum. I thought she should
have a picture by the ancient dog exhibit.

Relaxing while we waited to see the Hope Diamond.

Partyin' with Ryan and Rachel.

She especially loved walking with them through the city.

Washington Monument.
And a closer shot of my favorite people.
Then of course, a storm came in and I ran with
Ellie to the nearest Metro stop while the
others braved their way to the Lincoln.
We had a blast either way.

Then Ellie ended the day hanging with Grandpa
on the stairs. She loves playing with everyone.
