Visitors and Hands

Ellie got to spend lots of time with family this past week.
She enjoyed being with her Grandma Roggia, and all
her cousins of course. She even had a webcam meeting
with her adorable cousin Roman. It was fun to see him!

Grandma and Grandpa Roggia.... too cute!

I sat her in Adam's hood for a little bit to give my
arms a rest. She seemed comfortable enough.

p.s.-It feels wrong sometimes to put those U of Utah
socks on her (Thanks, Lynette, Chris, and Addie!),
but they're one of like 2 pairs that will actually
stay on those feet!

The "Earn Your Turkey" 4 mile race on Thanksgiving morning.

Adam did awesome, finished 7th in his group with great time!

Then he went back to finish with his mom and sister Joy.

Ellie did fall asleep before Adam finished... we woke
up very early that rainy morning to stand in the cold
and watch her dad race, but it was fun. I even won a
turkey because it was my birthday!

Ellie always seems to be in funny positions with Adam.

Modeling my brithday gifts... musicals, pretty shoes,
a purse, and some kitchen scissors... quite the girly
collection... I loved it!

Ellie has discovered her hands in the last couple
of weeks. She loves to play with them and taste them.

We call this her "Evil Plans" or "Mr. Burns" picture.
(The preflash thing on our camera sometimes makes her
eyes get all big like that before it takes the picture; it was
just a funnier outcome this time!)

Yay for meeting more cousins. We had a lot of fun
with Eph, Heather, and the boys. They even took us
to lunch to celebrate my birthday a couple of days
early. We're glad we got to see them! We got some cute
pictures of Ellie and Ezra. I love how her arm is draped
over his leg. They just sat there so calmly.

Ellie is 2 and a half months now! Here are some of

I decided Ellie needed to show all of her beautiful quilts from
her loving relatives. From the left, these were made by her
Great-Grandma Cook, Aunt Sara, 2 from Grandma Garner,
and then 1 from Great-Grandma Garner.
We love them all!

A Fun Visit

We had a fun visit from Phillip, Paula, and Izzy this
past weekend. It was great to see them, and we had
a blast. Paula even took some nice pictures for us with
her fancy camera. I posted some of them below.

For an Ellie update, she was officially 2 months old
as of yesterday! Hurray! She's doing great, getting
into better routines and having lots of fun!

Izzy and Ellie were very cute all weekend. Izzy always
checked on the baby whenever she re-entered the room.

Ellie decided to practice holding the bottle herself while
we were out to lunch. It was a nice break.

Just another week in the life of Ellie...

I know I've been slow with posting, but this girl keeps me
pretty busy most the time. Ellie's just over 8 weeks old now,
so I guess that makes her close to 2 months.... crazy to think!
She is laughing and responding to us more and more.... and yet
is more and more independent at the same time. Her latest
accomplishment is that she has gone a week and a half with
solid night's of sleep. She has gotten at least 7 or 8 minimum
each night, which is VERY nice for me!

Apparently, she wasn't as into the book as I was.

She kind of reminds me of myself in this on, partly because
it's the kind of outfit my mom would have put me in, (she
even bought this one), and partly because she has that
classic "I'm about to break down and cry" face that is in
most of my baby pictures... ahhh, genetics...

We didn't get very good shots of her in her costume
yet from Halloween because she was pretty sleepy
that night... for once! It was a cute monkey costume
though, complete with banana and tail.

Ellie wanted to represent for her 2 Army Grandpas,
her 4 Army Uncles, and, hopefully someday soon,
her Army Dad.

Just having some fun.... yes, we watch a lot of
Food Network together.
