So I decided I finally need to catch up on pictures since half of these are from a place we don't even live anymore. That's right, we moved to Buena Vista, Virginia. Adam is doing his final internship at Blue Ridge Physical Therapy, and will officially be on payroll as a full-time Physical Therapist in August. He has a great boss and mentor and is enjoying the work. We are happy with the small-town, slow-paced life and are enjoying settling in. The kids miss G-mom and the dogs, OF COURSE, but they seem to have adjusted very quickly and enjoy all of their trips to the park and river and all the fun the Shenandoah Valley has had to offer.
A lot of these are pre-move, but enjoy:
I wanted some pics of Ellie in her cute, blue dress, but the only way I could get her to pose was to put her Tucker in the picture with her. Funny girl.
She is the ultimate in fake picture smiles most the time. :)
Seth has been as crazy as ever, which results in this kind of crashing on a regular basis.
So Cute.
This is actually from the trip we took to look at the house, but it's our house none the less. Adam has done a lot of pruning and cleaning of some of the wild bushes and plants, but it is a cute house in a friendly little neighborhood up on a hill, and we like it a lot.
Always playing... or fighting. Depends on the moment.
Special things always show up when Pa comes to visit.... like personalized cakes for no particular reason! Definitely made for a happy little girl.
They both love Pa's iPad. It led to many fights... but lots of fun too.
Seth wouldn't eat any cake with us at dessert time, but I found him later, happily cleaning up Ellie's plate.
Our boy LOVES to color and makes me sit and write letters for him over and over.
This little oddball likes to get some of her favorite toys and make up fake poses for pictures. Here she is with her horse, her necklace, and her pretend phone, carrying on a conversation with some random voice in her head. :)
Seth knows how to find the best seat at movie time.
Explorer Ellie: "I'm a great tracker, mom!" Apparently, she was tracking "butterfly prints"... must be a stronger magnifying glass than I realized.
One of Seth's favorite things at G-mom's... mowing the grass! He will ride on that thing with her forever.
Cute girl on her trike.
Can you guess who chose the colors for the fun little cake we made on Mother's Day. Ellie has opinions about everything!
After almost 6 years of marriage and 2.5 kids, this amazing husband of mine has managed to get three college degrees, and this is the first one we got him to attend the ceremony for! But of course, the school had poor planning, and it was standing room only. So this pregnant lady stood in the back of the small room overheating and wishing her camera would take a decent picture. Poor G-mom was stuck outside with the kids... but at least it was cool where they were. Still a proud moment!
A quick family shot after the ceremony.
I am truly married to the best man ever! Love him!
Ellie was a little weirded out by the hat and robes, but posed anyway.
Seth was just happy that there were cookies in the little reception hall.
Ellie and her beloved G-mom.
Then back here to Buena Vista:
Trying to look cool out on the deck after a hot run on Memorial Day. We are enjoying the beautiful trails and paths we get to run on here!
Ellie is always begging us to buy watermelons... and she doesn't ever seem to like them that much. Oh well.
Our cute boy showing off his recent haircut. Such a sweet little man.
Too cute to pick just one.
A moment of sweetness among all the craziness.
Ellie doing some coloring at the $20 craigslist table and chairs that Adam so kindly painted for me in some beautiful, bold colors to brighten my new kitchen! Love it! It makes me happy every time I see it!
Swinging at the park. I think we have already been there about 15 times in the short 3 and half weeks we have lived here.
Climbing and playing.
Ball time.
