The First Week

Ellie has made it through her first week! She's very entertaining,
and we love having her. We also owe a ton of thanks to
Grandma and Grandpa for helping us get so well situated.

We had fun going on a picnic today down in Spanish Fork Canyon.
Ellie ate and slept for most of it, but we had a good time.
Everyone was enjoying climbing the rocks and just hanging
out together.

I had fun learning how to be a mom -- sitting back and watching
the festivities...

We did have a fun blow-out experience. But as Grandpa says,
many hands make for light work.

Grandma helped Ellie do some tummy time.

When Ellie falls asleep, she really falls asleep. This is how
she decided to lounge on my lap yesterday.

She also loves to cuddle. This is her spending time with her Daddy.

We also went up Provo canyon yesterday while Adam
went for a run.

She seems to enjoy sleeping in her carseat. She was knocked
out for a while after her doctor's appointment that upset her
greatly. It's hard to have people poke and prod at you.

Ellie!

We are happy to annnounce that Ellie Roggia has finally
come to join our family. She's a September 11th baby and
measured in at 7 lb 10 oz, 18 inches. She has been perfectly
healthy and has been the perfect addition to our family!

Baby Shower

My lovely sisters-in-law decided to throw me a baby
shower on Saturday, which was very fun. My friends
at work also held one for me on my last day, but I still
have to email someone to get those pics. Oops... I'll do that
as soon as I finish this!

I had a blast with everyone who was able to come!
Thanks much to Joy, Cathy, Ilene, Courtney, Kari, and Pam!

Ilene and I finally took some pictures to compare
bellies. This was also on Saturday, so we were both
right about 37 weeks. Only 3 or so more to go! YAY!

I Love to Recline....

We must first start this blog by giving a nice, BIG
THANK YOU to Mom and Pop Roggia for
the wonderful new recliner! There is finally
a means of relaxation and refuge during these
last rib-crushing weeks of pregnancy!

As evidenced below, this was a month of significant
growth and expansion. I didn't realize how huge I
look now until I downloaded these pictures!
Here's me at 35 weeks.

Here are a couple quick shots of our living room, for
Momma G. Some of our walls still look a little bare,
but it's a nice space. We just haven't really decided on the
best place to keep the new chair yet.

I made scones for the first time... and they were quite
delicious and satisfying. Brought back memories from home.
I think scones were one of my favorite things for dinner...
probably because of the yummy sweet toppings I always
use on them.

A quite shot of the office/baby's room. I've since put the
bedding on the crib... and the room is a little cleaner now,
but I guess this will do for now. And you can see the
stroller we got our awesome deal on... yay craigslist!

Kitchens, Boats, Logs, Races, and Bellies.... OH MY!

I decided that since I'm never happy with how the whole house
looks at any one given time... I will post new apartment
pictures gradually, starting with the kitchen,
as I spent lots of time scrubbing it the other day (not easy to
clean a floor on your hands and knees while being
7 or 8 months pregnant).

Yesterday, we got to go out on some boats at Cathy and
Jason's. We had a good time relaxing... and getting our
legs sunburnt... or at least that's what I did.

Last weekend, we went to the Scottish festival in Spanish Fork.
It was fun to watch the games... Adam said he felt a little
out of place with all the blondes and redheads around him.

We woke up nice and early yesterday and went to American
Fork for Adam to do a last minute 5k... to jazz up his workout
I guess. He did pretty well for someone was just "taking it easy",
6th in his age group at 20:59.

And of course, an updated belly shot. This was taken today,
just past my 32 week mark. I'm standing with the new,
but used, stroller that we bought a couple of days ago.
It was a great deal... and I'm very excited to get to that
day when I can start jogging with it!

FOR MOM: These are the colors on the bedding I bought
for the crib. It's not like the whole room is that color...
hard to coordinate those things when you're renting places.
But that's the idea... fun and bright.
